Begin your fishing season earlier than the opener at Afterglow Resort

Because Afterglow has a fish hatchery license, anglers do not need a license to fish Afterglow Lake and no fishing season applies. Your can fish year around for small and largemouth bass and bluegills. Catch and release is always encouraged.

Afterglow Lake is a private lake, with nearly 2 miles of uninhabited shoreline, 45 feet deep, and is protected from the wind by surrounding hills. This guarantees good conditions for fishing in all kinds of weather. The contains an aeration system to aid and accelerate growth and  health of our fish population. Only electric motors are allowed on Afterglow Lake.

Also, you are only minutes away from Big Sand Lake, Lac Vieux Desert and North Twin Lake for walleye and trophy musky fishing.

Guides are available by the day or half-day.

May, early June, September and October are prime fishing periods.
